What is all the fuss with the natural skincare you might ask? The main problem with the standard skincare is the amount of chemicals that it contains. Sadly we do live in the toxic world laden with air and water pollutants which we cannot control, however you can choose to switch to the natural skincare. To learn more on toxins and pollution - check out my blog on detox here.
When I suggest that my clients switch to natural skincare, they immediate response is that it is rather taxing on the wallet. I agree - most of natural brands are more expensive than your average skincare you buy from the local supermarket, but it doesn't have to break the bank. The most recent Soil Association report reveals a +24% growth year to date of certified organic beauty and wellbeing. The figures show that more and more people switch to organic and natural skincare as we are currently in the 7th year of consecutive growth for the sector.
Performance is another consideration. There seems to be an idea that natural skincare does not perform as well as it less natural counterparts. There might have been substance to this statement 10-15 years ago but these days you can get natural skincare that delivers results without introducing more toxins into your body.
Below are some of the examples of my most trusted and loved skincare brands tried and tested over the years. Some of these brands are easier on your wallet than others. You can always pop to your local health shop and ask for samples as well as put some of the pricier items of your wish list in time for the special occassions. I would encourage that you start exploring the world of natural skincare /make-up with the budget friendly options first.
